Why Camping ?

It's private, it's exclusive, it's wild and it's great fun

"Luxury mobile camping" is the supreme way to experience Africa !!!

There is nothing quite like hearing a lion roaring as he walks past your tent in the wee hours of the morning while tucked up in your bed and there is very little to beat being woken at dawn by one of our friendly staff with a tray of tea / coffee and cookies. 

The word "safari" means "journey" in Kiswahili and we strive to emulate "safaris of old" where your private mobile camp and crew would set up in advance of your arrival, except today we use more modern equipment which helps reduce any of the inconveniences of the past.  

There is a lot to be said for lodges and permanent camps in Africa but little can compare with the private, exclusive,  intimate experience that camping offers.

All our camping safaris are designed for small groups of guests, usually 4 - 6 guests, most of whom know each other.  

Our safaris are  generally between 10 - 12 days in length.

Dave has personally built his own luxury camping equipment and reduced the mass and therefore the time required to move the camp from place to place and thus ultimately reducing the cost to the guest. Our luxury mobile camp includes all necessary sleeping, catering and washing facilities required for comfortable living, in a nutshell it is a "lodge on wheels"
