Sasaab is situated in the northern, semi-arid region of Kenya, approximately 10 kms west of Samburu National Reserve. Sasaab is built with commanding views of the Ewaso Nyiro river, extending to the backdrop of Mount Kenya. It is in the heart of the Samburu tribal people, which is one of the main focuses of visiting this area. The lodge is built in a Moroccan style with 9 rooms. The rooms have a very airy and spacious feel to them and each room has its own plunge pool. Activities at Sasaab include guided bush walks, camel rides and game-drives. Sasaab is well-positioned to access Samburu National Reserve and some of the semi-desert mammal species that live there.
