This is as close to paradise as you will find anywhere. It is a small, 16 room, privately-owned lodge situated in a quiet cove on Manda Island, one of the many islands in the Lamu archipelago. This is the perfect place to relax but for those who would like to be a little more active, Manda Bay offers a host of water-sports, deep-sea fishing, snorkelling, diving and even game-drives on the island. It is also possible to visit Lamu town to experience the Swahili culture and some of the ancient Arabic ways of the East African coast.
