The latest safari news.
The rains have stopped and things are drying out, which is making it easier to find the mammals. The wildebeest migration has again returned to the Maasai Mara in force, and the cats are out to lunch daily. One of the highlights of the last trip was these two leopards in the photograph below. Leopards are normally solitary creatures and also very shy, so to see them sitting on a small island was quite a unique sighting.
The latest personal news.
We went to England in June to spend time with family and also to do some marketing. We were there for the “longest day” (21 June) where sunset was at 9.30pm, we both commented that if we had these long sunsets in Kenya, then sundowners would take on a whole new meaning. We would never be sober and most certainly be broke! It is now high season here and while Dave has been away on safari, Jayne has been to West Africa to assist with several training courses in Gambia and Senegal.
