Born in the UK, my affinity with Africa began during my career in the pharmaceutical industry where I worked on diseases of the developing world, including HIV, malaria and leishmaniasis. Having already travelled extensively in Eastern and Southern Africa, I then moved to Tanzania in 2006 to work on a malaria vaccine trial. In early 2009 I moved to Kenya to help Dave to run his business. Dave and I finally took the plunge and were married on the northern Tanzanian coast in January 2010. I’m still continuing my malaria work on a part-time basis whilst also helping Dave with some of the safari logistics. I have a keen interest in photography and share Dave’s passion for the wide-open spaces of Africa, especially if they are littered with mammals basking in the early morning sun.
“There are few places left in the world where you can experience the space and freedom of Africa.
Once you get dust in your shoes it’s hard to shake it out”.
